Bread Machine Sandwich Bread Recipe
This sandwich bread recipe is delicious and perfect for sandwiches and toast in the morning. I used to make all our bread by hand, and I enjoyed it. But as with life, other things needed to be done and I didn't have as much time to make it all by hand anymore, which is why I started using a bread machine.

This is my tried and true, use it multiple times a week bread machine recipe. I have been using this recipe for quite a few years. My kids' love it, and Blake and I enjoy it. It is a light, fluffy loaf of bread.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cup warm water
- 3 tsp yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 cups white flour
- 1 tsp salt
How to Make Bread Machine Sandwich Bread Recipe
I add everything to my bread machine pan in the order in which I listed them. Salt kills yeast so you don't want your salt to touch your active yeast.
Warm water, yeast, sugar, and butter into your bread machine pan.
Now you want to add the three cups of flour, and then add the salt on top.
On my bread machine, I have too many options. There are more settings than I will probably ever use, but do hope to use. For this recipe, I use my quick bread setting. It is one hour and 43 minutes long for the 2-pound loaf that this recipe makes.
If you do not have that option or prefer to use the three-hour option, reduce the amount of yeast to one teaspoon.
I have my loaf in the light color setting.
Remove with oven mitts right away to prevent condensation from building up and make the bottom of the bread loaf soggy.
Let it cool a little bit before attempting to cut the bread. I like to use an electric knife to cut our bread. It cuts faster and you can cut the bread sooner than you would be able to with a traditional bread knife.
My kids will eat almost the whole loaf of bread when it is finished first. Between butter and peanut butter, there is nothing better than fresh bread. It might not be as great as traditional bread, but this is still better than a bread machine.
Plus, homemade bread makes the best french toast.
