Prepare Food for Your Vacuum Sealer

One of the great things about vacuum sealers is that you can marinate your meat, vacuum seal it and freeze it for an easy meal later on that you just toss into your Instant Pot.

You don't have to do anything to meat though if you don't want to, simply buy it at the store or from a local butcher, bring it home, vacuum seal it, and freeze it.

Select the Right Bag

You are actually going to find that vacuum sealer bags are rolls more often than they are individual bags. Yes, you can find bags but rolls are more common. The great thing about the rolls is that you can have a bag as big or as small as you need for what you are sealing.

You want to leave a few inches above the product you are sealing to give you room to load it into the machine, plus create a good seal around the food.

When using the rolls, you'll seal the end of the bag, using the seal button, straight forward. THEN you cut the bag to your desired size.

Inside the vacuum sealer, you'll see where it is going to seal, this is where you have the open end of your bag set in place.

Our machine has a space for the open end of the bag to sit into, this is going to catch any liquid that may be squeezed out during the process.

You vacuum seal it by pushing the dry or moist seal button. We found that dry works best on our machine no matter what we were doing… including a test piece of bread.
